Student Laboratories

Student laboratories provide access to a wide range of programming languages and software that gives computer science students experience with the modern technologies and software environments that they will encounter in graduate school or industry.

The HPC (high performance computing) Laboratory

The HPC (high performance computing) and algorithms lab provides access to a grid of Linux servers. Students have the opportunity to work on research that focuses on efficient algorithms for processing large data.

Volpe Summer Research Fellowship in Digital and Computational Studies

Pay: $3400

Time: Eight to ten weeks

Eligibility: Open to students who are rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors

Description: Funds projects that use technology to explore interdisciplinary areas

Student Research

West Trek is a Bowdoin Career Planning program for students to explore career opportunities in technology through a trip to California over spring break. West Trek is designed to put students who would not otherwise be exposed to California’s tech culture in contact with graduates working for innovative companies.
